Maureen Martin ~ Scottish Toastmaster & Founder Member
Maureen is a Fellow and Founder Member of ‘Scottish Toastmasters’. She is the only female Toastmaster in Scotland and has been officiating as a Toastmaster since 1986. She has spent many years in hotel management and banqueting and in this time has gained much experience on how to ensure an enjoyable and trouble-free day for the bridal party and wedding guests.
From the moment of arrival of the bridal party and guests, until the first dance of the evening when she hands over to the evening entertainment, Maureen will be responsible for co-ordinating all aspects of the wedding and will deal with any problems which may arise.
Maureen will greet the bridal party and guests on arrival and liaise with the photographer, videographer and members of staff at the venue to ensure that all details are in place. She will arrange the receiving line, introduce the guests to the bridal party, place the principal guests at the top table and announce the Bride and Bridegroom into the wedding breakfast. She will announce the cake cutting ceremony, introduce the speakers and advise and assist with the speeches and toasts. She will also say ‘Grace’ if required. She will be present at all times during the wedding breakfast to assist the bridal party and guests if necessary.
Maureen is also a Master of Ceremonies and is available for Lunches, Dinners and Corporate Functions.
Maureen will always make contact with the Bride and Bridegroom prior to the wedding to discuss any personal wishes they may have regarding their special day.
