Richard Gray

Following a successful 35 year career in Food and Beverage and Hospitality management Richard joined the Association in 2013 to enhance his extensive range of knowledge and skills in the wider Hospitality sector.


Having officiated at a large variety of venues and events, nothing is too much trouble for Richard to deal with, his relaxed, calming and soothing approach is always appreciated by his clients.

Richard is able to deal with a small intimate gathering or a large multi-faceted event with consummate ease in a professional manner which is thoroughly appreciated by both the venue and the client at all levels.

As a skilled food and beverage professional he is able to advise on protocol and procedures for relaxed, informal and formal dining.

Over the last few years as well as his Toastmaster work, Richard has worked as a Freelance Hospitality Manager throughout Scotland with a variety of venues and leading caterers including The Palace of Holyrood House, The National Museum of Scotland, Stirling Castle, Blair Castle, Turnberry Hotel, The Fairmont in St. Andrews, The Scotsman Hotel and many others.

Having been raised in Gran Canaria Richard is fluent in Spanish and is capable of offering a bilingual service.
